There it is in all its pre warrent glory. Little work was done to the exterior for a warrent, but the white primer around the headlamps was spray painted bright blue. Believe it or not it actually looks better.
When we got it supposedly the clutch was broken but after pumping it a few times the first time we drove it, no more problems at all. The big expense to put it on the road was new suspension bushes on the rear and a new ball joint up front. We had a lot of fun trying to fit the rear bushes ourselves [not] so got the shop to fit the other ones.
Of the tyres that were on it only two were ok for road use we managed to get another two but they didn't have much tread on any of the four. Going round a corner once in the rain I changed from 3rd to 2nd and the rear of the car slid out! It now has puny 155s all round. I would like to get some 185s maybe even low profile retreads?
I have one sports wheel, that was dumped with the anglia, and I'm trying to get a set or at least two. Then with a coat of paint it should be a minter. Maybe a window stripe, twin carbs, extractors, cobe 2 1/2" pipe, racing seats and steering wheel. Dreams are free.
